The Bridge at Woodland Hills Church

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

The Quattlebaum life group watched a sermon by Greg Boyd last fall. The church he pastors is launching an online community for the next 6 weeks as an experiment during their series called Animate. I watched the first installation and it was powerful. Here is the information you will need to watch the first installation.

Easter

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

A group of us will be attending the 9am service at Fellowship Community church in liberty if you would like to join us in celebration on Sunday. CLICK HERE for directions, other service times, etc.

As we spend time celebrating the resurrection it reminds me of the heart and love that Jesus had for ALL of the people around Him. Paul sent me this video link that I would like to share with you all.

Life Together

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

OK, so one of the issues that came up in our gathering this week was how we “do” life together. How much time do we spend hanging out with each other, sharing meals, etc. To some degree this has happened organically and as part of just the day to day needs we have and things going on between us. So you can imagine my interest when I found out that there are groups of folks doing this intentionally with no apparent affection for Jesus at all. I think that it is interesting to see how closely we are linked to others in the practical approaches to life. This premise is simple: times are tough, so sharing resources makes sense, and we desire to be connected to our neighbors, so living in community makes sense.
